Fire safety

Objective

To reduce the risk of fire and protect life in Council housing.

Arrangements

  • Fire Risk Assessments Type 1 FRA in all communal areas.
  • Fire Risk Assessments Type 3 non-Invasive FRA to a fair and representative sample of domestic premises architype.
  • FRAs reviewed as per risk profile or following material change.
  • Fire alarm and detection systems maintained in line with manufacturers recommendations
  • Installation of smoke alarms in all tenanted homes.
  • Formally Liaise with Leaseholder where the Fire Reform Order 2005 is applicable ensure each leaseholder is fully aware of their duties and responsibilities.
