Who does this apply to?
This Policy applies to secure tenants of the council who wish to apply to exchange their tenancy with another secure tenant of the council or any other social landlord.
This Policy does not apply to:
- Introductory tenants;
- Demoted tenants;
- Licensees (including those on a use and occupation agreement);
- Tenants where a court order prevents assignment of the tenancy;
- Tenants of private landlords
- Tenants who have a tenancy linked to Adult Social Care with a special condition attached
