Introduction
A mutual exchange is where a social tenant is permitted to swap their home permanently with another social tenant. The tenants must make a request for permission and such permission must be provided before any swap takes place.
This Policy sets out how the Housing service of North Tyneside Council (“the council”) will deal with requests for mutual exchange.
