Support to Tenants to Sustain Tenancies
The Authority provides advice and support to tenants throughout their tenancy using a range of mechanisms, such as supporting tenants to maximise their income while working with sectors such as Citizens Advice Bureau to explore all options to support tenants. The Authority also has a Tenancy and Financial Support team to support to council tenants with complex needs to improve their financial circumstances and sustain their tenancy. The Authority expects RPs to give support to any of their tenants who face difficulties, for example by providing short or long-term interventions to any tenant requiring support to sustain their tenancy or by tackling perpetrators causing anti-social behaviour.
