Leasing Options
This scheme helps owners of long-term empty homes that need repairs to bring their property back into use. North Tyneside Council will enter into a lease agreement with the owner and carry out the required refurbishment works. During the lease period, the Council will let the property to a family or individual in housing need and recover the cost of the works from the rental income. The Council is responsible for buildings insurance, all repairs and maintenance, and all aspects of property management and letting throughout the lease.
If you are interested in this scheme, please contact the Council for more information.
