From 1 April 2025, North Tyneside Council charges a Council Tax premium on properties that are furnished but not used as anyone’s main home. The charge is 100% extra, meaning the Council Tax bill may be doubled. Limited exceptions apply. Full details are available in the Council Tax section of this website.
