Information we need from you
To find an entry and produce a copy certificate, we need to know if the event took place in the area covered by our registers.
The best way to be sure is to find a corresponding event in the GRO Index. To find the year, quarter and district in which an event took place, use:
Our registers cover the current North Tyneside area. This is what used to be
- Tynemouth Registration District
- and parts of what used to be the Northumberland South Registration District.
If you have found a GRO entry reference, please tell us:
- the registration district
- the quarter and the year in which the entry was
- the names (as given in the index)
