Induction
As a new colleague here at North Tyneside Council, you will feel valued from the moment you join us. Alongside our comprehensive corporate induction process, we also have bespoke service specific inductions depending on the team you join. Our experienced and approachable management team is also on hand to support you in achieving your professional goals during your time with us.
What to expect during the first few weeks
In your first few weeks you will be introduced to working in Local Government, enabling you to understand the structure of the council, as well as its various functions. Alongside this, you will also run through essential corporate learning, including the likes of Health and Safety, Equality & Diversity and more.
Learning and development offer
You will have access to a comprehensive learning and development offer, supporting you to develop in your new role as well as in line with your own career aspirations and goals.
We know everyone learns and develops in different ways. Hands-on, experience driven, on the job learning makes up 70% of the way we learn. You will also learn from your colleagues and through formal learning programmes.
