Young Advisors

Information about the Young Advisors

The young advisors are a group of 11-18 year olds who listen to children and young peoples views, specifically around the topic of safeguarding. Their aim is to work together using their skills and experience about life as young people to work with staff and decision makers involved in the North Tyneside Safeguarding Children Partnership. 

Their previous work has included completed a Young Advisors survey that took place in schools across the borough around personal safety, hearing directly from children and young people in North Tyneside. As a result the group chose raise awareness on knife crime buy distributing posters around schools in the borough. The young advisors group also have created a video explaining safeguarding which is now used in training sessions.
