What if I am unhappy about my Council Tax Reduction assessment?
If you are unhappy with a decision about your Council Tax Reduction assessment, please let us know and explain why.
You can request a written statement explaining how we made our decision. You must do this within one month of receiving your decision notice. We will respond within two months and explain how we have calculated your entitlement.
If you are still unhappy after receiving our explanation, you can appeal directly to the Valuation Tribunal and ask them to review your case.
If you prefer, you can write to the Valuation Tribunal straight away without asking us for a statement first.
