North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on:
- Victoria Terrace from the junction with Jesmond Terrace to the junction with Whitley Road. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Terrace, Laburnum Avenue.
- Laburnum Avenue from the junction with Whitley Road to the junction with Fern Avenue. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Terrace, Victoria Terrace.
The proposed temporary Order is required to enable the installation of traffic signal detector loops.
The Order will come into force on 9th March 2026 for a period not exceeding 6 days.
