North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make Orders under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders prohibits all through traffic on the following, and as and when signage indicates:
Battle Hill
Various locations on the footpaths surrounding Blandford Way. This will include:
- Bromley Gardens footpaths
- Boldon Close footpaths
- Bexley Gardens footpaths
Alternate routes will be available via the surrounding footpaths. On site signage will show the alternative routes.
The proposed temporary Order is required for gas mains replacements.
The Order will come into force on date 16th March 2026 lasting until the 05th May 2026.

The Order will come into force on 19th March 2026 for a period not exceeding 2 days.

Killingworth
The footpath between Cannock and Kenilworth.
An alternate route is available via the footpaths on Kenilworth, Flodden and Cannock.
The proposed temporary Order is required to excavate and install a new boundary box.
The Order will come into force on 23rd March 2026 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

Brewhouse Bank from the junction with Union Road to approx. 15m past the junction with East Percy Street.
An alternate route is available via Hudson Street, George Street, King Street, Tynemouth Road, Tanners Bank, Union Road.
The proposed temporary Order is required for excavations within the carriageway. Due to width of road, closure is required for safety.
The Order will come into force on 10th March 2026 for a period not exceeding 3 days.

An alternate route is available via Hadrian Road, Wagon Way, High Street East, Church Bank, Rosehill Bank.
The proposed temporary Order is required for viaduct repairs.
The Order will come into force on 9th March 2026 lasting until the 27th March 2026.
