North Tyneside Council has made an extension of Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic between an unrecorded public access point starting at its junction with Clydedale Avenue, Forest Hall and through the car park of the former Fusilier Public House car park to Colston Place, Longbenton as and when signage dictates.
The Order is required on a temporary basis to support a safe environment across the housing development at Clydedale Avenue. Construction is currently underway on site, with site hoarding in place around the perimeter of the construction area. Access through the site is not safe during the construction period.
The extension of this order will come into force on 20 January 2026 until 30 April 2026, or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
North Tyneside Council received a direction from the Secretary of State for Transport under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that “THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE, Unrecorded Public Access Point (Former Fusilier P.H. Site, Forest Hall & Longbenton), Temporary Restriction of Traffic Order 2025” will continue to be in force for the above dates.
