THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Saville Street from the junction with Borough Road to the junction with Stephenson Street. Works to be carried out in two phases to allow permanent access to Church Way and Asda Supermarket.
An alternate route is available via Liddell Street, Bell Street, Union Quay.
The temporary Order is required for road resurfacing and will come into force on 9 February 2026 lasting until 20 February 2026. Closure times will be from 18:00 – 00:00.
