North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made variation orders under Sections 32, 35, 45, 46 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders, which will come into force on 12 January 2026, will be to vary the above orders as detailed below so that:
a) the current Resident Parking Permit fee in all on-street permit parking schemes be raised from £25 to £30;
b) the Residents’ Visitor Parking Permit fee in all on-street permit parking schemes be raised from £25 to £30;
c) a new three-hour charge be introduced along all the on street and off street Foreshore parking places listed below with a proposed charge of £3.60 and;
d) the all day charge payable along all the on street and off street Foreshore parking places listed below be varied from £3.00 to £4.80:

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained within it, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred on the Council by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, you may within six weeks from 9 January 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
