THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF North tyneside Council
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Tyneside Council will make the following Order on 1 July 2026.
Under the provisions of section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, North Tyneside Council hereby order that during the times stated below the following regulations will be observed to prevent obstruction of the following streets during the holding of a Street event.
The temporary closure will take place on George Street, between the East End Youth & Community Centre, Kettlewell House at the junction with Queen Street and the junction with King Street, during the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 on the below dates.
2026
Thursday 23 and 30 July
Thursday 6 and 13 August
During the closure, traffic should use the adjacent local road network.
Pedestrian access will remain. The penalty for infringement of the above regulation is a fine.
