THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made Orders under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders prohibits all through traffic on the following, and as and when signage indicates:

Alnwick Avenue, Whitley Bay
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Alnwick Avenue from the junction with Park View to adjacent to 20a Alnwick Avenue.
An alternate route is available via Park View, Warkworth Avenue, Park View Lane.
The temporary Order is required to clear a blockage in an existing duct and will come into force on 5 February 2026 for a period not exceeding 3 days.

Cliftonville Gardens & Marine Avenue Lanes, Whitley Bay
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Marine Avenue Lane from the junction of Bideford Gardens to the junction of Ventnor Gardens. This will include a section of Cliftonville Gardens.
An alternate route is available via Bideford Gardens, Eastbourne Gardens, Ventnor Gardens. There will be on site signage to indicate which section is closed.
The temporary Order is required to install poly ducting within the carriageway and will come into force on 2 February 2026 for a period not exceeding 6 days.

Devonshire Terrace Lane, Whitley Bay
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Devonshire Terrace Lane to the rear of numbers 9-10 Devonshire Terrace.
An alternate route is available via Egremont Place, Whitley Road, Alma Place
The temporary Order is required to renew a lead comm pipe and will come into force on 2nd March 2026 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

Eastbourne Gardens Lane, Whitley Bay
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Eastbourne Gardens Lane from the junction with Ventnor Gardens to the rear of number 21 Eastbourne Gardens.
An alternate route is available via Ventnor Gardens, Eastbourne Gardens, Cliftonville Gardens.
The temporary Order is required to renew a boundary box and meter and will come into force on 2 March 2026 for a period not exceeding 5 days.

Marden Road South Footpath, Whitley Bay
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on the footpath outside of number 24 Marden Road South to the side of number 1 Felton Avenue.
An alternate route is available via the footpath around Felton Avenue and Marden Road South.
The temporary Order is required for gas mains replacements and
will come into force on 2 February 2026 for a period not exceeding 14 days.

Percy Road Lane, Whitley Bay
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Percy Road Lane from the junction with the Promenade to the rear of 68 Percy Road.
An alternate route is available via Promenade, Percy Road, Esplanade Place.
The temporary Order is required to replace frames within the carriageways and will come into force on 9 February 2026 for a period not exceeding 3 days.
