North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends that it has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on the eastbound Coast Road slip road adjacent to the junction of the Silverlink.
An alternate route is available via A19 Trunk Road, A19 J A1058 Roundabout, Coast Road, Churchill Street Roundabout.
The temporary Order is required to allow bridge inspections to be carried out and will come into force on 9 February 2026 lasting until 10 February 2026. Works will be carried out between the hours of 23:59 - 06:00.
