Support for children aged 0 to 5

The EYIF for access will:

• Provide support to children accessing their Early Years entitlements from 9 months to 4 years (additional government funding and / or universal), who:
  • have low level and / or emerging special educational needs or disabilities; and
  • are falling below the expected stages of development of children of the same chronological age and their needs cannot be met with reasonable adjustments alone;       
• Provide time limited support to children whose low level or emerging special educational needs means they require additional support to make a successful transition into their funded early years provision.
• The EYIF is part of the Graduated Approach and monitored alongside support being given from the Early Years Partnership key workers.
