What you can petition about
Petitions are an important way in which people can let us know their concerns.
It is important to note that you must either live, work or study in North Tyneside to be eligible to sign a petition relating to any particular issue.
Your petition must include, your signature, post code of your home address, employer name address or details of the organisation at which you study.
A petition to the Council should relate to:
- a matter which the Council has responsibility for; or
- anything relating to the economic, social or environmental well-being of the borough (if we have a degree of influence over the issue)
