Working Well North Tyneside’s flagship hub is preparing for a new chapter in North Shields Community Hub and Library.

The employment, health and skills service will temporarily relocate from its current unit just a few doors down and into the hub, ensuring there’s no disruption to support.

The current unit will close to the public on Thursday 13 August and will re-open in the Community Hub and Library from Monday 17 August.

Working Well North Tyneside will continue to provide its full range of support services from the new location alongside the existing library and community hub services.

The offer is an additional, complementary service designed to enhance what already exists in the hub and strengthen opportunities for residents and businesses.

Residents can continue to access:

  • Personalised one-to-one employability support
  • Health and wellbeing guidance
  • Advice on skills, training and volunteering opportunities
  • Support to overcome barriers to work
  • Help with confidence building and goal setting
  • Access to local services and specialist support where needed

For more information about the service, residents are encouraged to contact the Working Well North Tyneside team or visit their temporary location at North Shields Community Hub and Library from 17 August 2026.

Services will continue as normal at North Shields Community Hub and Library too including free PC's, housing advice, regular activites and advice and much more.
