North Tyneside Restaurant Week will return from Monday 5 October to Sunday 11 October 2026, showcasing the borough's food and drink offer with exclusive set-price menus at participating venues.

Restaurants across North Tyneside will offer specially created menus priced at £15, £20 or £25, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to explore the area's diverse food scene while supporting local hospitality businesses.

The week-long event celebrates North Tyneside's restaurants, pubs  and eateries, encouraging people to revisit favourite venues or discover somewhere new.

Among the businesses already signed up to take part is The Gibraltar Rock in Tynemouth, one of the region's best-known coastal hospitality venues.

Perched above King Edward's Bay, The Gibraltar Rock combines sea views with a relaxed dining experience.

General Manager of the The Gibraltar Rock, Fraser Jarvis said: “Restaurant Week is a fantastic event as it allows us to showcase what The Gibraltar Rock has to offer. We’re excited to welcome both regular customers and new faces through the door to enjoy our menu giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy a great meal at an excellent value.”

Other venues confirmed for North Tyneside Restaurant Week 2026 include Turknaz in Whitley Bay, The Salthouse in Cullercoats, Kaycho in Wallsend

and The Sportsman in North Shields, with more businesses expected to join the programme over the coming weeks.

Elected Mayor of North Tyneside, Karen Clark said: “I’m delighted to share that North Tyneside Restaurant Week is back this October. We have a fantastic food and drink offer in North Tyneside with lots of local favourites that bring visitors to our area throughout the year. These businesses play an important role in our local economy and this is a great opportunity to shine a light on them.

“Whether you’re returning to a favourite spot or trying somewhere new, we’d love for you to book a table and support our hospitality industry.”
