Over five weeks during our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, a group of young people worked alongside community artist Leonie and Summer HAF Co-ordinator Demi to design and paint a brand-new mural at Shiremoor Adventure Playground.
Leonie and Demi are former playground youngsters, now a fine arts graduate and a play work graduate respectively. Having spent a significant part of their childhoods at the playground, they wanted to give something back to the place that played such an important part in their lives.
