Runners can now secure their place in one of the UK's most scenic road races as entries open for the North Tyneside 10K Road Race 2027.
The popular event returns on Easter Sunday, 28 March 2027, bringing runners to North Tyneside's stunning coastline for a route that showcases some of the borough's most iconic landmarks.
Starting at the Parks Sports Centre in North Shields, runners make their way along the Fish Quay, past Tynemouth Priory and along the coast before finishing at St. Mary’s Lighthouse.
Every entrant will receive a commemorative race t-shirt, with chip-timed results sent directly to runners by text message following the race.
The 10k is organised by North Tyneside Council and supported by Start Fitness and Clearly Drinks who will provide the drinking water for runners.
Cllr Charlie Gray, cabinet member responsible for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “The North Tyneside 10k Road Race is one of our flagship events and a fantastic opportunity for people of all abilities to get active while enjoying some of the best views our coastline has to offer.
“Whether you're an experienced runner aiming for a personal best or taking on your first race, come along and be part of another fantastic road race.”
