Remembrance events in North Tyneside

RD 2025

North Tyneside will soon come together to honour those who served and sacrificed for our freedoms.

Remembrance Sunday parades are set to take place across the borough, on Sunday 9 November, followed by a special Armistice Day service on Tuesday 11 November.

In Wallsend, this year’s parade route will be slightly different, starting and ending at Hadrian Leisure Centre. The band that has traditionally led the parade is unable to take part this year, and despite extensive efforts, no replacement was available. After discussions with military representatives and parade organisers, it was agreed that a shorter route would help the parade proceed smoothly and in proper formation. This adjusted route will ensure the parade remains orderly and dignified, reflecting the pride and respect the community holds for this important occasion.

All events are free and open to all.
