Vape and Small Electricals Recycling Point

Vapes

Please recycle undamaged vapes only. Damaged or broken vapes should be taken to the Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Batteries should be recycled separately.

Small electricals

Helping recycle North Tyneside’s small electricals to ensure they are not going to landfill so that precious materials can be recovered. 

  • Bring banks are for small electricals only, nothing larger than a toaster.
  • We do not currently accept desktop computers, monitors, microwaves, or lightbulbs. Please take these items, and any other large electricals, to the Household Waste Recycling Centre.
  • Vapes and batteries should be recycled separately.
  • There are no fees associated with recycling electricals.

Ink and printer cartridges

  • Ink/printer cartridges can be recycled in ink cartridge recycling boxes across the borough. (please can you link this to the Re-use, recycling and waste map)
  • Manufacturers may have a returns scheme for recycling, check with your supplier.
  • Otherwise, dispose of them in your general waste bin
