I’d like to request a list of all vehicles that were issued a license as a Taxi, Hackney Carriage or for Private Hire (both approved and active licenses) between the dates of 01/04/2025 to 31/07/2025.

This information is refused in answer to this request under section 21 and section 40(2) of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Vehicle registration numbers of vehicles licenced to an individual are considered to be
personal data and are exempt from disclosure following the ICO decision Reference,

Vehicle registration numbers that relate to partnerships or limited companies and the make and model of the vehicles are publicly available under Section 42 the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 and Section 51(3) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 which state
Councils must maintain a book/register of drivers licenced to drive Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles. These registers can be inspected by appointment only at the Licensing Office between 9.30am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
