Could I request information on any Acoustic reports that have been requested to be carried out on behalf of Backworth Park Primary School or North Tyneside Council and if so when and by whom?
Response:
A noise report was commissioned by Northumberland Estates on 26 March 2013 as part of the original planning application dated 3 May 2013, planning ref 13/00781/OUT. A copy of which is available on the Planning Portal of the North Tyneside Council website here: https://idoxpublicaccess.northtyneside.gov.uk/online-applications/
(Search the reference number 13/00781/OUT and select the option for "Outline planning permission for the construction of 590 residential dwellings (including affordable housing), new primary school building and separate building for the local community with all matters reserved except access", the Noise Assessment can be found in the documents section, dated 16 May 2013.)
Note: This planning reference was subsequently superseded by planning reference 14/01930/FUL - Variation of conditions 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14 - 26, 28 - 33, 41 - 46, 49 and 50 of planning application 13/00781/OUT.
A further acoustic report was commissioned by Metnor Construction on 30 April 2018 to discharge conditions 33 and 35 of planning ref: 14/01930/FUL. A copy of which is also available online via the Planning Portal.

A new acoustic report was commissioned from Apex by the Authority which was received on 2 May 2024. A copy of which is attached. Some information of this report has been withheld under Regulation 13 of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, which prohibits disclosing third party personal data if this would contravene the UK GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018.
Additional noise monitoring equipment was installed on site at two locations close to Willow Grove and Hotspur North for the week commencing 10 June 2024. The Authority is awaiting the summary report from the Acoustic contractors.
