Response:
How many full time equivalent staff (or how many working hours) have been allocated to reading the survey responses from the education review including:
The consultation on the future of Forest Hall Primary School and Ivy Road School ,
The Consultation on the future of Greenfields Primary School and Hazelwood Primary School,
The Consultation on the future of Greenfields Primary School and Hazelwood Primary School,
The Consultation on the future of Monkseaton Middle School?
A total of 6 FTE council officers spent an average of 41 hours each reading the responses to the pre-publication consultation for the four proposals.
Has any artificial intelligence tools been used to review/read/summarise any of the survey responses?
The Engagement Team reviewed the survey responses as part of the Education Review consultations. To ensure accuracy, the team undertook a quality check by reading the content and verifying themes manually. An artificial intelligence tool was used solely to assist with counting themes and identifying any frequently asked questions that might have been missed; it did not replace human review.
We do not hold a precise record of the number of full-time equivalent staff or total working hours dedicated to this task, as it was carried out by members of the Engagement Team as part of their normal duties rather than through separately allocated resources. Artificial intelligence was used in a limited capacity to support the analysis, and all responses were manually checked by staff to confirm accuracy.
No other council officers used an AI tool when reviewing the survey responses.
