Construction and contractor noise
Construction noise is unavoidable. All builders and contractors should show consideration to their neighbours.
For work that involves noise or vibration, construction and demolition:
This should happen during the hours of:
- Mon-Fri: 8am-6pm
- Sat: 8am-2pm
- Sun or bank holiday: No working
These times may not always apply, particularly work on railway lines:
- where there is a public transport service
- for health and safety reasons
- in case of emergency
If a construction site is not following the times listed, we can serve a Pollution Notice.
