Nomination packs
A nomination pack can be collected from the Elections Office, Quadrant, The Silverlink North, Cobalt Business Park, NE27 0BY. Nomination forms are available The Electoral Commission Resources for Candidates.
Nomination period
Nominations can be submitted between 10:00am and 4:00pm on any working day from Monday 23 March to Thursday 9 April 2026.
Nominations must be hand delivered to the Elections Office, Quadrant, The Silverlink North, Cobalt Business Park, NE27 0BY. The forms cannot be submitted by post, e-mail or other electronic means.
You must make an appointment with the Elections Office to hand in your paper. You can ask your election agent or someone you trust to deliver your paper.
The Elections Office will carry out an informal check on your paper, before it is formally submitted.
