    Kinship for family or friends who step up to raise a child

    Kinship run free online and in person workshops and learning events to support kinship carers to navigate their role.  The Kinship training and support service is available on Kinship website.

  • Connect Mental Health Support Team (Connect MHST)

    Connect deliver monthly online sessions to support parents and carers to support childrens wellbeing difficulties.  Topics covered include understanding anxiety and the teenage brain, recognising and managing low mood, and developing strategies for managing emotions.

  • North Tyneside Parent Carer Forum (NTPCF)

    NTPCF organise workshops, training sessions, and information events on topics that parents and carers have identified as important to them. Details of upcoming events can be found in the Events section of the North Tyneside Parent Carer Forum website.

  • North East Autism Society (NEAS) Autism Hub North Tyneside

  • SEND training is available on North Tyneside Council Learning Pool: 

    • SEND Introduction E-learning (10 minutes)
    • SEND intermediate training - Council for Disabled Children E-learning Modules (30 minutes per module)
    • Understanding SEND provision & meeting needs: a background to what schools & settings can provide (6 hours live training)
    • * SEND training is also available to external users too by creating a Learning Pool account.
