Executive summary
On 17 March 2025 Cabinet received a report entitled ‘Procurement Plan 2025/26’ and agreed to the procurement exercises specified in that report proceeding through the 2025/26 financial year and to the awarding of contracts in accordance with UK public procurement legislation to the most advantageous tenders at the conclusion of such exercises.
To facilitate this process, delegated authority was given to the relevant Director in consultation with the relevant Cabinet member, Director of Resources and Head of Law to commence the specified procurements and to thereafter award contracts to the bidders who submitted the most advantageous tenders.

Option 1
To agree to the Authority entering into a contract with the supplier for the provision, installation, operation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging units in various locations within the Borough
Option 2
Not to agree to the Authority entering into a contract with the supplier for the provision, installation, operation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging units in various locations within the Borough
Option 1 is the recommended option.

The Director of Regeneration and Economic Development has made a delegated decision to agree to the Authority entering into a contract with the supplier for the provision, installation, operation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging units in various locations within the Borough, following consultation with the Director of Resources and the Head of Law.
Reasons for the Decision(s)
Following a full procurement exercise this is the most economically advantageous option for the Authority.
