Adverse weather can have a serious impact in North Tyneside. North Tyneside Council recently responded to serious weather events like ‘Thunder Thursday’ and Storm Arwen.
North Tyneside experiences heavy rain, snow, strong winds and extreme temperatures. Severe weather can create problems and significantly disrupt normal life.
Storms and gales may cause damage to property and critical infrastructure. Heatwaves and low temperatures can impact the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people. Droughts may prevent us from carrying out everyday tasks.
