North Tyneside Business Forum
North Tyneside Council is proud to support North Tyneside Business Forum (NTBF), a peer‑to‑peer network created to strengthen and champion the local business community.
The Forum is led by a group of volunteer business owners and managers from a wide range of sectors. Their shared aim is to support every business in North Tyneside, from the smallest micro‑business to the largest employer.
NTBF delivers a varied programme of activity throughout the year, including:
- Regular networking events
- Business safaris offering behind‑the‑scenes insight into local companies
- Business support showcases
- Management of the annual North Tyneside Business Awards
Membership is free. By joining the North Tyneside Business Forum, you’ll receive updates on business support, grant schemes, events, and opportunities to connect with others across the borough.

Green and Environmental Support
North Tyneside Council recognise the impact of the rising cost of living on businesses across the borough. There are a number of resources, support and in some cases grants available to assist your business to reduce its carbon footprint and become more sustainable.

Town and high street business support
We can support your town centre or high street-based business with advice on property, vacancy rates and footfall figures.
A dedicated Business Liaison Officer will listen to and offer advice on issues such as how to access finance, employment issues and marketing, while being able to liaise with internal departments such as planning, highways and waste.
