Parking Charge Notice Mitigation

Please use this form if you wish to dispute your car park fine.

Type of Dispute

I have a valid ticket / I have a valid disabled badge

If you have received a car park fine and have a valid ticket or valid disabled badge for the appropriate car park for the date and time covered by the fine you need to produce copies of your car parking ticket or disabled badge as evidence. Therefore this mitigation form cannot be submitted on-line.

The new Parking Contravention Objection Pack should be downloaded and completed if you wish to appeal against the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice and return to the following address, together with a copy of your ticket or badge.

Parking Fines - Mitigation

Please use this form if you wish to dispute your car park fine.

The following are examples of reasons that will NOT be accepted as mitigation:

  • The parking restrictions were unfair
  • You had gone to obtain change for the ticket machine
  • Your vehicle was only parked for a short time
  • Your vehicle was not causing an obstruction
  • There was nowhere else to park
  • You have a residents' permit or season ticket, but were not driving the car for which it is valid
  • Your vehicle ran out of petrol
  • You did not know you had to pay whilst using this car park
  • You did not see the sign
