Description:

24 hour emergency response to vulnerable Adults living in North Tyneside via an alarm button/pendant:- Mobile wardens will give assistance of a practical nature –e.g. assisting clients who have fallen; using our hydraulic lifting appliance, and/or arranging appropriate help from relatives, neighbours or the emergency services. Care Call can also provide a wide range of non-intrusive Telecare equipment to alert around falls, fire, heat extremes and medication following a Social Care Assessment.

Anyone can refer themselves to this service by phone or letter. There will be a charge if referral does not meet eligibility criteria.

Other professionals - nurses & occupational therapists - can also refer clients. Having a Care Call alarm system in your home provides peace of mind. Call centre staff are on duty 24 hours a day, every day. They will listen, give advice, provide support, contact relatives, doctors and/or other agencies on behalf of the caller, if that person is unable to do so.
