Introduction
North Tyneside Council are committed to providing the highest quality on-line planning services. Our site offers users the ability to view applications on-line (including plans and drawings), submit applications on-line, view committee reports / agendas, and to view or register appeals on-line.
Weekly lists
The Weekly List provides a list of all the Planning Applications either validated or decided by the Local Authority in a given week.

This service is provided through our Applications Register.
Committee Agendas / Reports
- Schedule for future planning committee meetings (note planning Committee agendas are released for public viewing one week before the committee date).

Commenting on an Application
North Tyneside Council provides an automated reception of planning comments where you can comment on an application online via the Applications Register. However, if you wish to make comment on an application via e-mail, post or fax, please state clearly the following;
- The Planning Application Reference Number
- The Site Address
- The Proposal
- Your Name and Contact Details
Send comments to Development Control. Please ensure that only one form of comments are submitted, duplicated comments will cause unnecessary administration.
Note: Planning Applications are public documents; any comments received will be placed on the case file and can be viewed by the public if requested. Only issues raised that constitute material planning considerations will be given consideration in the determination of the application (see ‘Matters taken into consideration’ )

Note: Although The Planning Inspectorate offer an on-line appeals database (this facility is offered through 'Planning Portal'), the content of the site is limited at present.
