Mouth of the Tyne Festival 12th – 14th July 2013

The Mouth of the Tyne Festival returns this summer with three concerts, all in the spectacular setting of Tynemouth Priory and Castle on 12th – 14th July. The Friday evening concert will be headlined by popular 1980s group The Human League. On Saturday evening James Morrison returns to top the bill following his sell out show three years ago and The Wonder Stuff will headline the Sunday afternoon show.

The Human LeagueThe musical extravaganza will kick off with The Human League on Friday 12th July. Best known for hits like ‘Don’t You Want Me’, ‘Mirror Man’, ‘(Keep Feeling) Fascination’, ‘Love Action’ and ‘Together in Electric Dreams’, The Human League have been performing for over 35 years and have sold 20 million records.

James MorrisonJames Morrison performed in 2010 and his show sold out in record time. He returns to headline the Saturday evening show. The Brit Award winner has enjoyed chart-topping hits including ‘You Give Me Something’ , ‘Wonderful World’, ‘You Make it Real’ and ‘I Won’t Let You Go’ since his rise to fame in 2006.

Sunday Afternoon in The Priory will see a line up with indie legends The Wonder Stuff and reggae favourites Aswad headlining. The Wonder Stuff were formed back in 1986 and are best known for their number one hit ‘Dizzy’ – a cover of the Tommy Roe classic with Vic Reeves. British reggae group Aswad have been performing since the mid 70s and had a number one single in the 1980s – ‘Don’t Turn Around’.
