We are proud to welcome you to the fifth annual Mouth of the Tyne Festival

Linda Arkley, Mayor of North Tyneside / Cllr Iain Malcolm, Leader of South Tyneside Council This year there's a huge programme of world-class street entertainment, live music and spectacular parades for you all to enjoy, with performers from around the world making Tynemouth and South Shields their home for the weekend.

The event takes place in our stunning coastal areas and we would encourage you to see as much as possible on both sides of the Tyne. There's so much going on over the weekend that you might struggle to fit it all in, but whatever you do, we hope you have a safe, memorable and enjoyable time.
