Council and democracy ...

Forward plan

You can download the current forward plan here:

Key decisions (ie broadly those decisions which involve significant expenditure or savings having regard to the council's budget to which the decision relates or which are significant in terms of their impact on the community in two or more wards) are to be made on behalf of North Tyneside Council.

A plan (to be known as the forward plan) containing particulars of the matters in respect of which those decisions are to be made will be prepared by the council on a monthly basis.

Each forward plan contains details of the key decisions likely to be made for the four month period following its publication.

Each forward plan contains a list of the documents submitted to the council’s decision makers for consideration in relation to the matters on which key decisions are to be made.

Copies of, or extracts from, any document listed in the forward plan are available from the council’s offices as set out above, subject to any prohibition or restriction on their disclosure.

Other documents relevant to those matters may be submitted to the decision makers.

A request for details of such documents (if any) as they become available should be addressed to:

Dave Brown - Democratic Support Officer

Town Hall, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, NE28 7RR

Tel: (0191) 200 7004

There may be occasions when key decisions have to be made at short notice and do not therefore appear in the council’s forward plan.
