The Rising Sun Country Park
A beautiful 400 acre green oasis located in the heart of North Tyneside.
The wildlife within the Country Park is rich and diverse. The Park is a site of Nature Conservation Interest and the lake area is designated as a Local Nature Reserve.
The habitats within the park include grassland, woodland, ponds, wetland and a lake. There is all year round interest; you may be lucky enough to see a roe deer or one of our rarer bird visitors.
The Park has been awarded the Green Flag award in recognition of its qualities.
