The Local Authority play a critical role in responding to emergencies, providing plans and procedures with the Emergency Services and other organisations, to allow a response to any incident within North Tyneside.
Emergencies can occur without warning, North Tyneside Council has put in place plans and arrangements to reduce the impact and respond to emergencies.
An emergency could result in the following:
- Loss of basic services: including water, power, gas and telephones
- Damage to property
- Evacuation from your home
- Injury or death
