Up to unusual tricks

Calling all skaters and BMXers - great prizes are up for grabs in trick contests this summer.

Trick-spotters will be at North Tyneside's skateparks throughout August, with trick competitions and spot prizes for all levels of skaters and BMXers.

The sessions will be informal and fun, and a great way for skaters and BMXers to show-off and share their skills.

Prizes for scooters and inline skaters are also on offer.

The contests kick-off on Tuesday August 3 at Dudley Skatepark, from 2 'til 4 pm.

Spotters will then be at the Panama Skatepark, Whitley Bay on Wednesday August 4, from 12 'til 2pm, and at The Parks Skatepark, Thursday August 5, from 1'til 3pm.

Further sessions will run throughout August as follows:

Monday 9, Panama Skatepark, 1 pm to 3 pm
Tuesday 10, The Parks Skatepark, 11 am to 1 pm
Thursday 12, Burradon Skatepark, 1 pm to 3 pm

Tuesday 17, Panama Skatepark, 1 pm to 3 pm
Wednesday 18, The Parks Skatepark, 1 to 3 pm

Monday 23, Dudley Skatepark, 2 pm to 4 pm
Tuesday 24, The Parks Skatepark, 11 am to 1 pm
Thursday 26, Panama Skatepark, 11 am to 1 pm
