A full line up of entertainment is in store for shoppers visiting North Tyneside's town centres on Saturday 13 March.
The Blyth & District Model Railway Society will be exhibiting at the Beacon Shopping Centre in North Shields from 10.30am to 4pm.
There will be a large model railway layout for enthusiasts to check out, while representatives from the organisation will be chatting to shoppers and answering their questions.
Elsewhere in North Tyneside, a free history walk will take place at 11am in Wallsend to educate people about the heritage of the town. Limited spaces are left and pre-booking is essential. To book a place contact North Tyneside Council's events team, TEL: (0191) 643 7409 or e-mail events@northtyneside.gov.uk.
Or why not watch local children breakdancing at an urban dance show in Whitley Bay town centre with performances starting at 11.15am and 11.45am.
The events form part of a wide and varied programme of town centre events organised by North Tyneside Council as part of its commitment to support town centre businesses.
Previous town centre events have included special appearances by children's favourite TV character Peppa Pig, Newcastle Eagles basketball team and the star of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Craig Chalmers.
There have also been falconry displays, celebrity look-alike personal shoppers, balloon modellers, urban dance and steel band performances.
