North Tyneside Council is looking for people to join the team at its new community swimming pool and fitness facilities in Wallsend.
The local authority is advertising 26 posts for the £8.2million development, which opens this summer at Burnside Business and Enterprise College on St Peter's Road.
There are a variety of full and part-time roles, including leisure assistants, Contours gym instructors, clerical receptionists, an administrative assistant and a casual trampoline coach. The recruitment of swimming instructors will take place later in the year.
The new development consists of a 25-metre six-lane swimming pool, teaching pool and Contours fitness gym - all based on the successful scheme at the Lakeside Centre in Killingworth. The pool and gym will be open throughout the week, day and night.
The college's existing modern sports facilities are already available to the public as part of Sport and Leisure@ Burnside. They include a six-court sports hall, fitness rooms, dance and exercise studios and changing facilities.
Cllr Glynis Barrie, cabinet member for Community Services, said: "The pool and fitness gym will be a first class facility and forms part of Wallsend's regeneration.
"As well as having a great building, it's just as important to have a team that provides customers with excellent service.
"This is an exciting opportunity for people to be part of this new team in a fantastic, state-of-the-art environment."
The closing date for applications is 26 March. Short listing will take place from 6 April. All applicants will have to obtain an enhanced CRB and medical clearance.
