10 Road Race

Held around Easter, the 2009 event took place on Easter Sunday 12 April. More than 1,700 took part in last year's race, which was won by Nick Swinburn in a fast time of 33 minutes and 21 seconds. The first female over the line was Jessica Trowbridge in 36 minutes and 17 seconds.
The route take competitors from the Parks Sports Centre in North Shields and takes in the Fish Quay, Tynemouth Priory, award-winning coastline, finishing at St Mary's Lighthouse in Whitley Bay.
North Tyneside International Youth Tournament
Over 120 teams took part in the 2009 25th Annual tournament held over 5 days at the beginning of August. All games took place in Monkseaton and further details can be found on our tournament pages listed on the left.
